Washing blouses
Seidensticker blouses are characterised by their long-lasting high quality. All our fabrics, be it cotton, linen or viscose, are extremely easy to look after and therefore simple to wash, dry and iron. Follow these tips for washing:
Only wash blouses together with similar colours and materials to avoid them turning grey or discolouring. Wash white blouses with bio detergent, coloured ones with non-bio or colour detergent.
Cotton, cotton blend, jersey or viscose blouses may be machine washed together, but silk, chiffon or linen blouses must be washed separately – silk is best washed by hand.
Select the “easy care” setting on your washing machine, as well as a low spin cycle of approx. 400-600 rpm.
It is best to wash blouses at 40°C and follow additional care instructions.
To prevent blouses from creasing too badly, you should only wash a maximum of five to six blouses at any one time. This amounts to about a half-full washing machine.
Before washing: Raise the collar and do up the top button, this enables the collar to be cleaned thoroughly and keeps it in shape.
Blouses are dried either in the tumble dryer or on a hanger with the top button closed. Tip: Briefly smooth and shape the blouse so it has less wrinkles.
